After becoming increasingly
concerned about the ingredients and preservatives used
in commercial dog biscuits, I faced a
dilemma... no buying yummy treats for my pets anymore?
That hardly seemed fair, after all, we give ourselves food
treats so why should our pets miss out?
So began my research for tasty ingredients that
could be included in healthy biscuits - without using
any of the nasty additives. Next, out came the kitchen
utensils and I fired up the oven. Having done the
research, it was time for the development stage -
testing and tweaking the ingredients and developing
recipes to bake tempting treats for my dogs.
It wasn't long before friends, family and
acquaintances began asking for the baked treats for their own
pets and, after having run the non-profit
Sophie's Choice [pound dogs in need of a home] website
since 2007, the idea for a "sister site" began to form.
Now it was time to really broaden the taste testers -
from friend's and relative's dogs and beyond - to rescue
dogs, other dog walker's dogs... any and every dog
available to try the treats! All were loved and
appreciated.
Finally satisfied with all taste test results,
Sophie's
Choice dog treats is now open for business. Eight
different varieties are offered, using only human grade
ingredients. Yes, they're safe for human consumption,
although I can't promise what a human's taste buds will
think!
Sophie's Choice dog treats are freshly baked to order
and available in four different sizes...

And... if you're ever looking for a new four legged
addition to your family, feel free to visit our sister
